Why does photobucket resize my images

You can now go and paste the link into the Insert Image dialog on CC. The image will be presented at the set size PhotoBucket set it at for normal display. I looked on the net for an answer and found one. It is, in my opinion, a poor solution but if you have a small number of photos to post or illustrate a review, it's workable.

From the image menu, choose "Edit" On the edit menu, choose "Resize" The current display dimensions are shown in the width and height boxes with a little lock symbol between them. Leave the lock alone since it will allow you to change the width and the height will auto-adjust or vice-versa. Adjust the image to the size desired and click on "Apply" Clicking "Save" without checking the "Replace Original" box will add a copy of the image in the smaller size to your album. If you are choosing images from a large album, you can move the smaller copies to their own album later.

If you posted just a few images to an album specifically for a review or other purpose, checking the box and replacing the original will save confusion later when you are linking.

After clicking "Save", the smaller version is displayed and clicking on the "Direct" link will copy the address of the smaller image to the clipboard and it is now ready to paste in your smaller, more readable review. Results in the next post. CC six-image limit. Here's the version from my upload: The version from the re-size exercise: Hope this is helpful.

I don't think so because people are uploading stuff on sites at native. I really doubt they are paying. I am going to try imgur. I heard it's good. MK3Brent No longer a newbie, moving up! You can't enlarge anything once it is in photobucket or any other holding site I know of. Click on edit and see what size it says your pictures are.

Also check to see what size they are on your computer before you upload them. I've never had photobucket change mine in the process of uploading so you must be feeding them in as small.?.

If they are small coming off your camera, you'll need photoshop or another program to enlarge them, I think. Most computers have a basic photo managing program and you can try that too. Anna - when I upload into photobucket the images come out the same size as on my computer so I don't know what to tell you! Wish I could help! You might want to try posting this question on the GardenWeb Photography Forum. A few people there are very skilled and may be able to help.

Photobucket will automagically resize uploaded pictures larger than 1 meg. Try resizing your picture to the one of the dimensions I mentioned above before uploading so photobucket doesn't resize for you. Maureen, I just spent a long time trying to see if I could figure out how to do it. I was not successful. For size, it just says kb. It does not give two dimensions.

The kb is the size of the file. What you want to do is to decrease the dimensions of the photo in pixels. This, in turn, will decrease the file size and make your picture much easier to view online. I don't know what software you're using to manage your pictures, but almost any of them should provide a way to resize your photos. There should be an option to change the dimensions, which are likely now much much larger than the numbers I gave you.

If you want to, feel free to email me with specifics about your software and if I'm familiar with it, perhaps I can walk you through the process. Indem Sie weiterhin auf der Website surfen bzw. Mehr erfahren. Bathroom Fixtures. Dining Furniture. Sign In.
