The resistance stats on it will depend on which act you find the loot. This list is a work in progress and will be updated as we get more information about the Torchlight 3 Legendaries. Consulting the items on the Torchlight 2 Armory , the lowest level legendary items are Level 54, so it's possible to get legendary drops any time after this level. They are rare and just because you are lvl does not mean you have a higher chance at getting a legendary than a lvl They are just as rare regardless of what lvl you are 50 and up that is. RadiantViper , 27 Aug 27 Aug 27 Aug There is an alternative method to obtain a legendary item using the transmutation system they added in a patch.
It takes some work but it's a guaranteed legendary. These can even be simple white embers, as long as they have the prefix Huge or Giant. I was able to buy several from a vendor in camp. These are the orange items you can find often from boss drops. Another method of obtaining extras is to create a Summon Vendor Boon Scroll through transmutation any 3 set items, blue ones are fairly common, and a town portal or identify scroll.
You don't need to do the 10th round to get legendaries, but they are more likely if you do up to the 8th or 9th round. I don't know if I'd do that dungeon on Hardcore, but on normal mode it's fun to see how far you can get. It's mostly the same pattern of enemies for each round, so you can plan ahead once you get familiar with it. Last edited by HiFive ; 15 Jul, pm. It would be the best place, if not for the fact they mostly drop nothing at all, likely by design so as not to clutter the fighting arena.
I've never seen the chests drop a legendary either, though it might be possible. The easiest way is gambling, but that's expensive and only works for the highest level ones. But, but, I've gotten a bunch of legendaries from those Tarroch's Tomb chests! Of course, I've been addicted to that dungeon lately, so I run it frequently with a bunch of different characters. They spit out plenty of uniques, but not legendaries. Yes, lots of uniques, but I'm not dissapointed with the occasional legendary drop.
Maybe because it's so much more rare outside of that dungeon. I have an Engineer that seems to do a good job getting legendaries. He even got one as a drop from an enemy in Tarroch's Tomb, instead of from the boxes. I think it's my Embermage that hasn't gotten any. I'm pretty sure my Outlander got a few. Usually the legendary drop is for a different character than the one I am currently playing, so I send it off to the one that can use it. Last edited by HiFive ; 16 Jul, am.
